Hybrid: “Calling the Guru from Afar”: Continuation of Guru Yoga in Honor of Kyabje Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche: 

June 25 and 26, from 7pm to 8pm

This weekend we will be practicing Lodro Thaye’s famous “Crying to the Gurus from Afar”. You can join “in person” at KCCL or “online” via OCEAN’s main shrine room by following this link https://ocean.chronicleproject.com/shrine-room/. Then click on Main Shrine.

The following weekends (until further notice), we will continue with other guru yogas.

Furthermore, here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5n98iwZpKo, for a talk on Lodro Thaye’s Calling the Guru from Afar given by His Eminence, the 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, in which he focuses on explaining the title as encapsulating the essence of the entire Guru Yoga. It was his first public teaching as part of the Commemoration of the Jamgon Kongtrul Lineage Ceremony. The event took place during the 30th Kagyu Monlam Chenmo in Bodhgaya, India. At the end of his talk, at 1:08:28, he gives the reading transmission (lung) for the practice.
