Tantra Online Class Series: The Dzogchen Aspiration Prayer of Samantabhadra:
Topic: Samantabhadra’s mode of freedom through taking the recognition of the Ground as the path
Wednesday June 3, at 7:00pm (Nova Scotia Time) or 6:00pm Eastern Daylight Time
Description: The Aspiration Prayer of Samantabhadra, one of the most famous and often-recited Dzogchen texts, is a uniquely profound prayer. This aspiration is made by the nature of mind as self-arising awareness—primordial basic awareness, or rigpa, which is referred to as “Samantabhadra”—in order to recognize itself. Thus, it is a wake-up call by our own buddha nature. The prayer not only outlines the profound view of Dzogchen in a nutshell but also provides clear instructions on how to discover the five wisdoms of a buddha in the very midst of the five main mental afflictions.
Requirements for the class: having already received pointing out instruction from a qualified teacher.
