First Yarne (winter retreat) at KCCL
January 20, 2019 - February 4, 2019
First Yarne (monastic winter retreat) at KCCL
January 20 to February 4, 2019
Description: This retreat is open to whoever is seriously interested in focusing on practice and/or study for the duration of this retreat. Every day will open with a brief ceremony and close with protector chants. The periods outside of these two events are open to personal pursuit in terms of practice or study, or, if people wish, to group efforts in these areas.
Who can attend: Everyone, whether monastic or lay practitioner. People can join in for the entire retreat or for whole day(s). People can either stay at KCCL or commute to KCCL on a daily basis.
However, we have also organized group ngöndro days for ngöndro students. Thus this retreat is a great opportunity for them to make progress in their practice with the support of other ngöndro students and Lodrö Sangpo. The group ngöndro days will be January 21, 22, 26, and 27, and February 2 and 3. On January 21, the first ngöndro session of the day goes from 9am to 12am, and the afternoon session from 2pm to 4:30pm. For the remaining group ngöndro days, practice will go from 8am to 11am and from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
On the other days of the retreat, ngöndro students also can do individual ngöndro practice here at KCCL.
