Karma Changchub Ling (KCCL) is courteously inviting you to celebrate with us a formal opening of KCCL on Sunday, June 4. This is the most auspicious day in the Buddhist calendar since it celebrates the birth, death and enlightenment of Shakyamuni Buddha and is called Vaishakha in Sanskrit or Saga Dawa in Tibetan. This day was recently suggested by the Venerable Khandro Rinpoche—one of our three main spiritual advisors—and has been confirmed by the Board of Directors of KCCL.
The idea behind the KCCL Opening Celebration is to acknowledge the completion of the remodelling phase at KCCL and to mark this event as a turning point from which onward we will be able to refocus our energy on becoming a fully functioning monastic center with a Mahasangha outlook. And how could this be better done than inviting our spiritual advisors to join in with messages and talks.

OCEAN will broadcast the celebration. To join the Zoom meeting:

Thus everyone is able to join online. We will also know in a week’s time how many people we will be able to accommodate “in person” in addition to the people who have already notified us to come.

Here is the agenda for which the morning events are settled whereas the afternoon events might still be subject to shift but hopefully will be completely confirmed in the coming week. The times are given in Halifax time.
